Alpro Foundation Award terms & conditions

Judging

• The Alpro Foundation scientific board will judge submissions based on:

  • Academic excellence (general quality and journal),

  • Originality,

  • Practical recommendations (for consumers, for patients, for health care professionals or for policy makers).

• The jury reserves the right not to award the prize in case of an insufficient number of applications (less than three papers), insufficient quality of work or relevance of the topic.

• The nomination process and selection by the jury remains confidential and the decision of the jury is final.

• Decisions are made by a simple majority vote. In case of a tie, the chairperson's vote counts as two votes.

Award ceremony

• The official award ceremony will be held yearly at the Alpro Foundation board meeting of April (either in Brussels or by Webex).

• The laureate is expected to present his or her work at this occasion. Travel and one night's accommodation (if needed) will be reimbursed.
